Ah, the difference a week makes.
Last week, we informed you all that our management team was negotiating the return of “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen at the request of Inter Species Champion – Player Uno. We are pleased, albeit a little worried, to announce that on April 12, 2009 – at WHAM! BAM! Thank you, ma’am – Player Uno will get his wish – as Kevin has agreed to the terms presented to him by Inter Species Wrestling, and will take on the champion (**should he retain his title at King of Trios. More below**) in the main event on that night.
Our lovely camera man – Gerry “GDawg” Horvath – caught up with Steen – who had words for both the management – and his opponent on April 12 – Uno.

LAST CHANCE
Fevruary 15′s SLAMTASIA 2 event was host to quite a few historic moments. The final chapter of the Beef Wellington and Giant Tiger saga. The first ever bodybag match in Quebec wrestling history. However, for El Hijo Del Bamboo – the most notable thing to happen on that particular night, was the victory he scored over the man responsible for his father’s death – Damian.
Michael Von Payton – stating that he was done with Bamboo Jr., and would rather face Uno for the title on that night – hand picked the God of War to face off against the panda, feeling that he would end up meeting the same fate as his daddy. However, when the panda came out on top – MVP had a bit of a change of heart – and made him an offer he knew he wouldn’t refuse.

With all that said, and a little bit of meat-gazing – we’re pleased to announce that on April 12 – Bamboo will have one last shot in avenging his 2 consecutive losses to Von Payton from 2008. Will Von Payton hit the 3-peat? Or will the cuddliest of the Inter Species Wrestling creatures shock the world for a second time?
KING OF TRIOS – NIGHT 2
Folks – Inter Species Wrestling is set to go international, as we are gearing up to make our United States debut, as part of the HUGE Chikara King of Trios weekend. For the first time ever on non-Canadian soil, we will see an Inter Species Title defense – as our champion, Player Uno, will take on the challenger – Twiggy – in a first ever singles encounter.

Friendship will be placed aside, as the resident underdog attempts to dethrone the current king of Inter Species Wrestling.
This match will take place on March 29 – Night 2 of the KoT festivities – and we are way more than psyched to be there.
Also on that night, and during the Fan Conclave event earlier in the day – we will have a special Inter Species Wrestling merchandise table set up. Looking to buy a shirt? A hoodie? A DVD? Or maybe you just wanna stop by and talk for a bit? We welcome all of the above.
