Folks – we’re less than 2 weeks away from our unprecedented fifth show of the year! 2008 topped off at 3, but we’re doing it big in ’09, folks. And the upcoming show will be a doozy – as we present to you “FOUR YEARS OF THIS?” – our 4 year anniversary spectacular, live from Foufounes Electriques on August 23, 2009.
MAIN EVENT
Just a couple days ago in East Hartford, Connecticut – the reigning Inter Species Champion, Player Uno, overcame one of his toughest challenges to date in Hallowicked. It was a hard-fought back and forth encounter, which saw Uno in trouble many times during the contest – only to plant his opponent stem-first in the center of the ring with his Dig Dug Driver.
In the match prior to the title match, we witnessed an exciting 3 way dance – as El Generico defeated both Jigsaw and Zombified – when he dumped the zombie on his brain with a brainbuster. With this win, El Generico moved up the ranks – putting him in a position for at title shot. One he wished to take place on August 23. Uno – with successful defenses against Michael Von Payton, Twiggy, Kevin Steen, Viking, and the aforementioned Hallowicked this year already – decided he would like to grant the generic luchador’s wish – stating that he was a fighting champion who would take on all comers, and that the first ever singles meeting between them should take place in the top spot on one of our most important shows to date.
And it was signed.
On August 23 – in a first ever singles encounter – Uno puts the title on the line against El Generico.
FANS BRING THE LEGO
You had to know it’d come to this. Former best friends Flip and Stinky the Homeless Guy will once again square off, mano-a-mano, at Foufounes Electriques. However, based on what’s gone down between the two recently – with Flip piledriving Stinky’s head into lego on 2 consecutive occasions – Inter Species Wrestling’s reigning commish – Michael Llakor – decided that things had gone too far – and the only way to settle this would be under deathmatch rules.
August 23 will see Flip vs. Stinky – 2 former best friends colliding – in a FANS BRING THE LEGO DEATHMATCH![/i]
Fans – if you’ve got some of the ol’ coloured building blocks taking up space in your house, attic, or parents’ basement – PLEASE bring some to us at FOUR YEARS OF THIS? Every block will be used. Feeling creative? Take your sweet time, and build something awesome – that will be promptly smashed over one of the competitors’ heads. You’ll be all like “hey, I made that!” – and you’ll feel a type of fulfillment that you’ll never feel anywhere else.
Bring lego, please!
CONTENDERSHIP
In a match to determine who is next in line for a shot at whoever emerges the champion after our main event on August 23 – Twiggy takes on “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen. Steen’s last appearance was at April’s “Wham! Bam! Thank you, Ma’am!” – in a losing effort to Player Uno. A loss that Mr. Wrestling seemingly did not take too well, as we haven’t heard from him since. Twiggy, however, is coming off a big win over Beef Wellington in a bunkhouse brawl at our recent Connecticut debut.
Both are highly ranked, and will face off to see who will be number one contender after August 23.
