GT RESPONDS – AGAIN

A few weeks back, Steven Weiner issued a challenge to current Inter Species Champion – Giant Tiger for SLAMTASIA 3 on April 3, 2010.  Less than thrilled with the response he received from the champion – he had this to say.

It took a little while, but we received the following call from the Gingerbread Man’s Hollywood Estate – seemingly very fed up with Weiner.

Title match signed.

THE PORTAL VS. ??

The Osirian Portal of Ophidian and Amasis are one of the most exciting young tag teams in all of professional wrestling.  The world traveled duo have held their own against the best, and have held prestigious titles – despite only competing for a few years now.  They are a team we’ve wanted in Inter Species Wrestling for a while now – and we’re pleased as punch to have them.

A few weeks ago, we showed you a video from the Portal – challenging any team in Inter Species Wrestling.  As we said back then – when it comes to us and tag teams – they come, but they seldom stay.  With the Badd Boys busy, and El Generico unavailable to team with Twiggy on April 3 – we had a hard time trying to figure out who we could put in there with a team like the Osirians, in order to produce the most exciting match possible.

Then it hit us.

In 2005 – an army was formed in Inter Species Wrestling.  Just like our tag team ranks – members came and went – but in the end, there were two.  And they formed a tandem unlike any other in Inter Species Wrestling
history.  Lead by an undead Haitian witch doctor – they tore through Inter Species Wrestling for 3 years, until conflict tore them apart – and they went their seperate ways in early 2009.

The call was put in, and through a series of grunts and moans – we were somehow able to get them to reunite for one night only – to represent their motherland of Haiti, and Inter Species Wrestling against the Egyptian outsiders.

On April 3, 2010 – at SLAMTASIA 3 – The Osirian Portal will meet Zombified and Izzie Deadyet – The Walking Dead.

This could be a show stealer.

BEEF VS. STARR

We teased it a few weeks ago.  A former Inter Species Wrestling competitor was looking to make his return in Danbury, CT.  We then confirmed, via video, that it was no other than Beef Wellington looking to rejoin our ranks.  Wellington was scheduled to compete in a match in Montreal, Quebec – at August 2009’s “4 Years of THIS?!” event – but instead – chose to pull himself from the scheduled contest – and quit Inter Species Wrestling altogether.

Upon hearing of our upcoming return to the United States – Beef got in touch with Inter Species Wrestling’s commish – Llakor – and begged to be taken back.  He apologized profusely for the way he
quit, claimed he really needed the $20 payday associated with his appearance, and stated that if he was let back in – he’d take on any “star” we want to put him in there with on April 3.

Upon hearing this – Llakor, who has a soft spot for Beef Wellington – as he knows Beef is a big part of why Inter Species Wrestling was even born – accepted him back with open arms.  As for which “star” he chose for
Beef to face?  Well, that was simple.  Upon hearing the word, only one name came to mind.  A person who made their US debut with Inter Species Wrestling in August of 2009 at “The Worst that Could Happen…in Connecticut”.  A veteran of many hard hitting, hardcore brawls – like Wellington.  The lovely, and talented – Addy Starr

Can Addy improve her US Wrestling record to 2-0?  Or will she get punched in the ass?  We’ll find out in a little over 3 weeks!

NEW SIGNEE?

Along with rehiring Beef Wellington – Llakor also informed us that he signed an impressive standout from the Maritimes by the name of Bastian Snow.  Very little is known about Snow, but from what we’ve been told – he’s someone to watch out for.

Bastian Snow will face off with another newcomer to Inter Species Wrestling – Frankie Arion.

GIANT TIGER vs. STEVEN WEINER?

Last week, a video was posted online by one Steven “The Turtle” Weiner – challenging Inter Species Champion – Giant Tiger to a match at SLAMTASIA 3 in Danbury, Connecticut.  Innocently plugging the show at first, Weiner then went on to speak of past issues he’s had with the dirty zookeeper, and then the challenge was issued.  This video, as we mentioned – not posted by us – came as a bit of a shock to us all.

If you haven’t seen it, check it out.

Just 2 days ago, the champion left the following voicemails on my phone.  Not all relevant, but some referring to Weiner and his challenge.

It would appear as if Giant Tiger has not accepted the challenge, and the search for an opponent is still on.

FAMILY MATTERS

While waiting for an opponent to be named for his second title defense on American soil – current reigining Other Champion Moohammad the Terrorist Cow hasn’t been in the best of moods.  His pet – Flip – lost a hard fought Lego Deathmatch at 4 YEARS of THIS?! (available on DVD now).
He can forgive that.  His younger brother, however, is what’s got him
pissed off.  See, at that same show – after Moohammad successfully
defended his title against James Stone, in a match that left him severely injured – young Moostafa
took the mic, and in an attempt to impress his younger brother -
challenged the biggest, toughest, and strongest in the locker room to
come out, and face him.  Dancing around, and not taking his opponent
seriously – another notch was added to the young calf’s seemingly
ever-growing losing streak.

Post show – older brother sat
younger brother down – informing him that terrorists don’t screw
around.  If he wants to carry on in the family business, he has to get
serious.  A defiant Moostafa then stood up, like James Van Der Beek in
Varsity Blues, and said “I don’t want to be a terrorist.  I want to be
a dancer!”  He then stomped off.

Since that hot August night,
Moohammad has been pissed.  Yes, he’s been pissed for like 6 months.
He’s a terrorist.  They don’t forget.

He made a request.  As
a way to teach his younger brother a lesson – he asked us to sign a
match between his loyal pet – Flip – and his disobedient brother -
Moostafa – for April 3 at the Heirloom Arts Theatre.  Can the reformed
burger flipper instill some second-hand tough love in the bovine
b-boy?  I guess we’ll find out.

just received word that an impressive New England talent, as well as a
popular tag-team have both been signed to make their Inter Species
Wrestling debut at SLAMTASIA 3.  What will they do?  Who will they
face?  Has the Badd Challenge been accepted?

KINGSTON vs. UNO

Last week, we stated the obvious in announcing that on April 3 – in Danbury, CT – Eddie Kingston will make his Inter Species Wrestling debut.  (Yes, we know.  He was on the flyer.  Are you done?) What we didn’t announce was who he’d be facing that night at SLAMTASIA 3.  Well, last week – it was also announced that Giant Tiger would not grant Player Uno a rematch for his title, leaving the former/longest reigning Inter Species Champion without a match.

We thought about it.  Fans have seen Uno receive beatdowns from some fierce competitors in the past – like Kevin Steen, El Generico, and Hallowicked.  And now, no longer a champion – an extremely frustrated 8-bit luchador is looking for a fight.  Why not put him in there against someone who will bring him one?

At SLAMTASIA 3 – we present a first time singles encounter – as Player Uno takes on “The Last of a Dying Breed” – Eddie Kingston.

…BADD CHALLENGE…

Seems like I end up writing the same thing every show, but on April 3 – The Badd Boys – Brad and Chad
will once again roll into Connecticut looking for a fight.  The foul
mouthed, chain smoking, biker-slut banging identical twins have once
again issued an open challenge to anyone with the nuts to get in the
ring with them.

Who will it be?  Only time will tell.

Come see the Badds are they’re meant to be seen on April 3, at the Heirloom Arts Theatre.

MOOHAMMAD vs. AMERICA

Reigning Other Champion – Moohammad the Terrorist Cow
- will defend his title for the second time on American soil in
Danbury, Connecticut.  Who against?  We can’t tell you.  Why?  Well,
because we don’t know yet.

Our official American Ambassador – John Maestro – hit us up, stating that he felt that since the mad-bombing bovine hates America so much (as he stated during his match against Stinky in East Hartford, CT in ‘09)
- he should face his foe, and take on an American born wrestler on
April 3, 2010.  We thought this idea was fantastic, and asked Maestro
to find us the most American wrestler he could.

We want a man who represents the hard work ethic, the apple pie, the stars, the stripes, and all that jazz.

GIANT TIGER IN CONNECTICUT

As announced on Tope Con Coolio last week – Inter Species Champion, Giant Tiger, is set to make his long-awaited American in-ring debut at SLAMTASIA 3 in Danbury, Connecticut.  A homecoming of sorts, for the man who resides in Hollywood, California – but seemingly only wrestles in Montreal, Quebec.

This agreement was the end result to a series of long negotiations, in which the champion made many demands.  All of which we, begrudgingly, met to keep our GT-sympathizing American fans happy.

The biggest demand made by the champ was that in order for him to appear in Danbury, we were not allowed to book him in a match against current #1 contender Kevin Steen, or the man he beat for the title – Player Uno.  When asked who his ideal opponent for April 3 would be – the gingerbread man simply stated “no f*ckin’ clue.”

We’ll have more on this story as it develops.

LAST OF A DYING BREED

Also confirmed on Tope Con Coolio was the debut of someone we’ve wanted in Inter Species Wrestling for quite a while – “The King of Diamonds” himself, Eddie Kingston.  For anyone not familiar with the king, check out the video posted below.  We’ll have more news concerning Kingston’s debut in the coming weeks.

IS “THREEQUEL” A WORD?

Hibernation began early for us in 2009.  Shortly after our August anniversary spectacular – 4 Years of This!? – we decided that we’d done enough that year, and it was time to relax, refuel, and reflect on our accomplishments.

-SLAMTASIA 2 in February brought our biggest Foufs attendance yet.
-King of Trios in March gave us our first taste of exposure in the US.
-WHAM!  BAM!  Thank you, Ma’am in April, and the debut of the Alcobrawl.  The most talked about match in Inter Species Wrestling history.
-The Vans Warped Tour in July saw the show go on, even with the biggest rainstorm of the year looming.
-The Worst That Could Happen…in Connecticut in August.  Our first ever full show in the United States.
-The aforementioned big Anniversary show.  Celebrating 4 years of us.
-Being featured on G4 TV’s Electric Playground.

There was simply nothing more we could have done in 2009 – so we decided to sleep through the cold Canadian winter – and try our luck again come springtime.

And here we go…

Inter Species Wrestling are absolutely JAZZED to announce that on April 3, 2010 – we will make our way down south to the Heirloom Arts Theatre in lovely Danbury, Connecticut – where we will proudly present SLAMTASIA 3 – our second ever full show in the United States of America.

Our first visit ended with a chorus of “Please come back” chants.  Well, here we are.  Bring your friends.

GIANT TIGER VS. ??

Earlier this week, we informed you all that Giant Tiger had signed to appear at the big 4 year anniversary spectacular on August 23.  Also noted, was the stipulation put in place to assure his appearance.  At “4 Years of THIS?” – Giant Tiger will take on an opponent of his choosing – who is yet to be named.  GT blew up my voice mail this week, leaving some of the strangest messages I’ve ever received.  I’ve posted them online, in hopes that someone may be able to decipher them, and tell us all exactly what the Gingerbread Man has planned on August 23.

OTHER TITLE – REMATCH

At the Vans Warped Tour – fans hearts stopped as they witnessed, reigning Other Champion, Moohammad the Terrorist Cow attempt to end the career, and possibly life, of his opponent for that afternoon’s event – James Stone.  Footage of this incident can be seen below…

Despite suffering injuries in the fall, Stone managed to finish the match – taking Moohammad to his limit, before succumbing to a huge lariat from the champion.  Stone feels that this time will be different, as he has challenged Moohammad to a rematch at “4 Years of THIS?”.  Without hesitation, Moohammad accepted – stating that while he admires Stone’s heart – that will not stop him from ripping it out of his chest at Foufounes Electriques.

3 WAY DANCE

Beef Wellington, Sexxxy Eddy, and Viking will square off in a triple threat match at “4 Years of THIS?”.  All 3 men are coming off huge losses – and go into this match hoping to come out the winner, and get back on track.

POOR ADDY?

Coming off a big win over Sexxxy Eddy in Connecticut – Addy Starr will take on the resident “I have no idea what the hell you are” of Inter Species Wrestling – Steve.  When we saw Steve last, he/she/it was victorious over Moohammad the Terrorist Cow – forcing him to tap out to her patented “sodomy” submission maneuver.  Can young Addy Starr prevail?  Or will she meet the same fate?  Either way – it’s gonna be kinda hot…

ANOTHER BADD CHALLENGE?

One week to go, and the Badd Boys are without opponents for “4 Years of THIS?”  This is a usual occurance for Brad and Chad Badd.  When it comes time for a fight – there’s nobody with the nuts to step up, and sign on the dotted line.  With less than seven days to go, the Badds have issued an open challenge to anyone with the guts to face them 2 on 2 in the ring at Foufounes.

We’ll keep you updated on this.

ZOMBIE VS. PANDA!?

Izzie Deadyet takes on El Hijo Del Bamboo in the first meeting between the 2 competitors in Inter Species Wrestling history.  Izzie recently defeated Pinkie Sanchez in a very entertaining match at our first ever event on American soil – and is looking to continue that streak.

El Hijo Del Bamboo is returning from a neck injury, that forced him to miss both the Vans Warped Tour and Connecticut events.

Will the second generation wrestler bounce back, and defeat the zombie?  Or will we see the first ever undead panda in wrestling history?

On the topic of the undead – Zombified takes on his toughest challenge yet, as he faces off with Michael Von Payton.  Zombified is coming off an impressive showing in Connecticut as part of that big 3-way semi-main event.  While Von Payton is coming off a win over Twiggy at the Vans Warped Tour.  Just another first on a night with many.  This could potentially steal the show.
